Thoughts of cynicism and sarcasm are a sign

If you find yourself getting cynical or sarcastic when you read or hear positive messages, it’s a sign that you’re not on track in your life. It’s a reflection of you, not the writer. It doesn’t diminish the truth of the message. It just means that it is more important for you to open your mind and listen.

After we stretch or exercise, soreness in specific muscles is it’s our body’s way of telling us that they are weak. Same for positive messages - when a positive message hits a negative note causing us to get cynical or sarcastic, it means that this is a mental area of weakness that we need to strengthen.

With exercise, the soreness means that our body is rebuilding and getting stronger. This pain is the price of admission to getting in shape. When we feel the bite of cynicism, we need to use the feedback as a time to rebuild, stretch ourselves, and get stronger.

Instead of becoming envious of those who have a positive attitude, grow from the experience and use it as the foundation to develop your own positive attitude.
