Unstuffed Cabbage Recipe

I common recipe for my German side of my family was Stuffed Cabbage.

This recipe is similar but much easier to prepare.

I like this recipe because the cabbage give it favor and the texture is similar to bow tie pasta.

2 lbs. Ground Beef
1 Large Onion, chopped
1 clove Garlic, minced
1 Green Cabbage, chopped
1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
1 can (8oz) Tomato Sauce
1/2 cup Water
1 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
1 teaspoon Salt

In a large skillet, over medium heat. Add the ground beef and onion and cook until beef is brown.

Add Garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the tomatoes, and tomato sauce, cabbage, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer for 20 or 30 minutes, until the cabbage is tender.
